An exciting enterprise level initiative is underway at Microsoft Corporation. By employing several tools and strategies, including "Direct Air Capture" of carbon dioxide, the company is a leader in seeking to remove the greenhouse gas C02 from the atmosphere by 2030. That's right, just over 7 years from the date of this post.
This video provides an overview of the Microsoft strategy. It explains the math behind the technology "needed to accelerate technology development and deployment of new climate innovations through equity and debt capital."
Key to the Microsoft initiative is its Climate Innovation Fund, a $1 billion program which, in part, is designed to provide financial seed monies to "scale new innovative solutions in the market," such as Direct Air Capture.
If your company, local or state government are interested in the sequestration of C02, Microsoft is a case study worthy of your consideration.
